Management of Nonprofit Agencies specialization
Increased demand for services, heightened government oversight, and competition for scarce resources have made nonprofit management skills more critical than ever. This Management of Nonprofit Agencies PhD specialization allows you to explore your own nonprofit research interests while deepening your knowledge of contemporary business and social issues faced by nonprofit leaders. The specialization includes nonprofit-focused course work in workplace diversity, board management, advocacy, fundraising, ethics, program management, and resource management. People who choose this specialization often wish to pursue higher education faculty or leadership positions in nonprofit organizations or are considering starting their own nonprofit organization.
Residency Requirements: Three three-day colloquia (PSL-R8921, PSL-R8922, PSL-R8923).
