Master's degree

Be careful with this degree

November 21, 2011Warning I obtained my Master degree in Human Services at Capella. Although my experience was extraordinary, my degree is useless. Trying to get a job in the human services field requires a Master of Social Work (MSW and people just disregard this degree. I have been unemployed for three years and the only jobs I get are as "assistant" to a social worker with a MSW.

Capella Experience

September 2, 2011PHolland5 My experiences at Capella were extremely positive. The instructors are there for every student to help guide you through your program. I was a student who had a disability and that program also gave me the tools such as extra time on assignments which was quite important because I needed the extra time to finish my assignments. The Capella experience that I had was very positive without any major problems. I also thought the small gifts which students get at the beginning of each term were a nice touch. I have found all of them useful. When asked about my Capella experience I have nothing but positive comments. I believe that I learned more in one term at Capella than what I learned in my two years at a university. If you want a positive learning environment with an online curriculum Capella would be my first choice.

my experience at Capella

September 2, 2011Denise I am glad that I chose Capella to attend for my Masters. I have no complaints other than I had one teacher who I feel did grade fairly. Because of this I failed a course and have to retake it which is going to cost me, other than that I am sure anyone who chooses this school will be happy they made the decision to attend Capella.
