Dr. McCartney came to Capella in 2008 as an adjunct faculty member and dissertation mentor. She now serves as a faculty member in the Harold Abel School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and continues to serve on dissertation committees and as a dissertation mentor. Prior to joining Capella, she was a licensed secondary school teacher. She has taught educational psychology at the university level for over 20 years.
