Christopher Heffner

Christopher Heffner, PsyD, LP

Director/Chair, PsyD Program

Dr. Heffner joined the faculty of Capella University in 2004 and in 2009 became chair of the Clinical Psychology PhD and PsyD specializations. Prior to joining Capella, he worked as a Staff Psychologist at a treatment center and in private practice. His teaching experience spans over 15 years and includes both traditional and blended programs. Dr. Heffner has returned to school and is currently in the dissertation phase of the PhD program in Organization and Management at Capella.

“I’m focused on the application of psychology to real life. Over the past seven years working with adult learners, my role has evolved from lecturer to facilitator, working with students to embrace life-long learning and supporting their growth as practitioners.”
